Do Good is an ethical networking group in Ipswich, encouraging businesses to build relationships whilst supporting local charities.
We asked Franzi to work on the branding for our new venture. Once again, Franzi did an incredible job and produced a colourful, vibrant and professional identity for us, perfectly capturing the concept of Do Good Networking.Franzi did as much research as possible on the events that we would be running, meeting the charities that we would be supporting and speaking to attendees. Her high attention to detail never fails to impress us!Her designs, fonts and graphics were all spot on first time and, as Franzi ensures all elements are versatile, we were able to get some amazing branded merchandise made to further enhance our brand. We are so thrilled with what Franzi has produced for Do Good and, once again, we can't thank her enough!
Previously known as I Roll Up My Sleeves, Do Good networking brings like-minded local business people together with ‘hands on’ projects supporting worthy causes. It perfectly combines networking and building lasting relationships with making a difference for local charities and the people they support.
Once a month Do Good invites us all to spend the morning helping out at a local charity or community project. Re-organising a storage unit for Emmaus - the homelessness charity, counting and sorting hats for The Big Knit with Age UK Suffolk or stock preparation at Zest. These are just a few examples of what you can get involved in whilst networking and making new connections for your business.
The brief for the brand identity design was to capture the purpose of the group as impactful as possible and to simply make people smile. Do Good wants everyone to feel welcome and engaged. To see the fun and laughter, feel the warmth and positivity and get an idea of the level of support the group provides to charities and community groups.
The Brand identity is based on circular shapes, bold type and bright colour blocks to describe all aspects of the Do Good idea: building relationships, making an impact in the community and having fun along the way.
The Do Good logo is made of custom type, constructed with thick circles, low ascenders on the ‘D’s and letters spaced tightly to give an impression of strength and unity. The descender on the ‘G’ adds a smile and makes it feel engaging and fun. The separate logo symbol just uses the word ‘do’ in a coloured circle to reinforce the hands on approach and the ‘feeling part of it’.
Circular shapes are also used for a set of icons symbolising the mission of Do Good, and a bold coloured background pattern can be found in all touch points created as an additional identifier.
