I am honoured to be working with Age UK Suffolk. With an aging population, the charity’s work is vital to support the elderly in the community. Age UK Suffolk looks after the lonely and helpless and provides safety and companionship with their day care groups, household help, telephone befriending, benefits advice and information service and much more. Their charity shops, fundraising campaigns and volunteers raise awareness and help fund the charity’s work.
To help even more people in need and to attract new volunteers, the marketing team at Age UK Suffolk chose me to help create a range of marketing collateral to aid their work. For the charity it is key to have a design solution that appeals to both, the younger and older generation. The artwork has to be vibrant, fun and appealing, but pragmatic, informative and easily readable too.
We have expanded the existing visual identity components – logo and colour palette – with a set of icons, which symbolise the range of services and products Age UK offers, and a couple of characterful typefaces, which are easily readable for seniors. Allocating a specific colour and imagery to each icon/service throughout print and online touch points creates continuity and coherence.
Franzi’s creativity and understanding of our aim and the work that the charity does, was essential in creating an eye catching, appealing and sensitive portfolio of marketing materials that we can use at a variety of events to ensure that we are reaching older people, supporters and volunteers, to easily explain our work, and encourage people to engage with us.
We have worked closely with Franzi in the creation of all elements of the campaign, at all times liaising together to ensure that we are meeting the brief. Nothing has been too much trouble, and I look forward to continuing to work with Franzi in the future.
